The House Judiciary Committee will recommence hearings on the Strive Act this week. The hearings will be broadcast on the HJC’s website.

The Strive Act is a comprehensive immigration proposal that includes the long sought 10 year exemption on visas for occupations that the Department of Labor deems in national short supply (Schedule A). At present Schedule A includes two occupations: Physical Therapists and Registered Nurses.

HLG is encouraged by the House’s action, although readers should be cautioned that the Strive Act is still a long way from becoming law.
