A number of items to put in your date books:

September 4: Congress returns to session after the American Labor Day holiday. Many budget and appropriation items must be completed before the end of the US fiscal year on October 1. As we’ve previously mentioned, our biggest hurdle appears to be hesitation on the part of lawmakers to work on anything that sounds like immigration.

September 21-23: In Toronto, HLG’s Mike Hammond and Cindy Unkenholt will be speaking at Marskell’s Canadian Health Careers Interaction, which will also feature an International Recruitment Forum.

September 24-26: HLG’s Chris Musillo is a featured panelist at the Staffing Industry Analyst’s annual Healthcare Staffing Summit in Chicago. His panel is “Making Immigration Law Work for You”.

October 12: HLG’s Annual west coast Symposium on the International Recruitment of Healthcare Workers will be held at the Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco.
