The firm publishes the Healthcare Immigration News blog, which is the go-to source for healthcare employers and workers alike and averages over 10,000 readers each week. Each year, the firm produces a Symposium on the Recruitment of International Healthcare Workers. This educational event, open to clients and non-clients alike, is the largest event of its type in the United States. The firm was a leader in the successful retrogression relief bill passed by Congress in 2005 that provided relief to Schedule A applicants and the firm continues to advocate for retrogression relief. For its non-healthcare clients, the firm launched a new blog in early 2011, labeled Views on Business Immigration. Its primary contributor is Mike Hammond, and the postings carry with it his unique humor and often, acerbic views on actions of the USCIS, DOL, and the DOS. It is fast becoming widely read both for the information contained as well as the style.
The firm’s attorneys regularly attend and speak at events sponsored by the staffing industries premier trade associations, Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) and TechServe Alliance (formerly NACCB). The firm’s attorneys also present to literally thousands of healthcare job-seekers each year at Canada’s largest healthcare job fairs, sponsored by the Marskell Group. The firm’s attorneys also write prolifically in these areas and regularly have articles published in national publications.
The firm’s individual clients include persons seeking permanent residency for a spouse or other family member, naturalization, defense of removal proceedings, investment options including EB5 petitions, self-sponsorship for permanent residency via a national interest waiver or the EB1 category, and the handling of appeals based upon the denial of various employment or family based petitions.
