USCIS Upgrades Online Case Status Page 09/21/09

The USCIS has just updated it’s online case status page to make it more user-friendly and to provide more information about the status of a pending case. Click here for a link to the new page.
The page now identifies whether the case is in one of the following modes: Acceptance, Initial Review, RFE, Testing and Interview, Decision, Post Decision, or Document Production/Oath Ceremony. A section has also been added to the bottom of the page which allows the user to see updated processing times.
This upgrade should be a vast improvement over the old system which provided little detail about the status of a case beyond the fact that it was pending or a Request for Evidence had been issued.

That looks impressive but it has some issue. For eg, I had RFE issued on April 8th and I submitted my RFE on May 7th, before this transition to new page, the status on my case was "Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed. "
and now "Status: Request for Evidence"
Ah ha – but make over is worth mentioning and we will see how far does USCIS go on providing actual info.

Our I-140 date is Nobember 2007. But till now the status is still "request for evidence". Additional documents already sent by our immigration lawyer last April 2009.
Any idea why it taking so much time just to approve or update the status of our I-140 to the next level?

There are rumors that CIR is expected to be introduced by Oct 2009. Hope it is true and nursing bill is attached and passed.

Renewal of CA RN license is just as easy as 1,2,3….
All you have to do is to go into their website (www.rnca.gov?) and follow instructions on renewal. You will need a credit card for the online transaction. No other requirements.

I checked my status on line with this tool. It says…"Document production or Oath Ceremony". Does that mean my GC is approved?
