Raji,

Can you pl stop this kind of questions. You did nt understnd in the last few years that niether HLG nor attorneys can take any decision on retrogression.

regards

To HLG,
Should we understand at the moment that when/if CIR fails(in may/june) then they(eg zoe lofgren) might consider piecemeal
legislation like ours(HR 5924)?
And that it may well be in sep/oct at the best?
Or you expect a repeat of 2007?
Your answer will be highly appreciated by us all.

Hi Raji

There is no visa for nurses in USA. Get a life and try somewhere else instead of posting the same question again & again

Johny, Thank you for your comment. Perhaps, you are not aware that HLG is actively involved in liaisoning with the Congressmen to get the new bill introduced for the Nurses. You may not be aware that in 2005 Chris was the one who advocated for getting the bill passed for recapture of 50,000 visas. None of us can contact the congressmen and there is nothing wrong is asking for an update from HLG or any other attorney or AILA. If you feel, we dont get any update from the attorneys or HLG why are you visiting this blog. I will continue to put my requests to HLG unless they tell me not to do so. I am not writing anything offensive but out of anxiety just try to find out the progress. HLG will have much higher knowledge on the progress of retrogression relief than us. Hope you agree with that. HLG was part of the loby group and I sincerely hope they will continue to be.

Hello everybody.

It’s been a long time now since I had my last post here at HLG.

Though I am not actively participating in HLG blogs recently, I consider myself as one who is still a loyal reader of this site since I never missed updating myself with the latest discussions in here.

I so believe that if not all, majority of the blog participants are nurses with pending US immigrant application. We are brought altogether into one common blog site primarily to discuss and tackle matters that pertains to our one BIG common interest. And that is for US to re-open its door to IMMIGRANT ASPIRANTS FOREIGN TRAINED NURSES.

With HLG being our blog admin, I remain hopeful that we shall be provided with high level of accuracy on immigration news updates like what they continue on doing for the past years.

My fullest admiration and best regards to HLG for the continuing support that they are showing to foreign educated nurses. The undying advocacy for a special legislation that would relief retro is good enough for us to remain thankful all this time.

Cheers!!!

The worsening US economic turmoil and the deepened visa retrogression had resulted to some of our members losing their hope, some had gone to depression, some flared up with anger, some even got mad with people who still manage to think positive, and worse, some had totally given up their American dream.

I personally understand all this emotional approaches, we are only but humans. But let us also bear in mind that the way one feels and foresee things, May not as always be true to others. If others will choose to maintain the hopeful and positive attitude, then please respect their decision. At least while everyone is empty, the hopefuls (LIKE ME) still have some little faith, and blessed are WE.

There is nothing wrong to remind everyone that retrogression is ON , that RECESSION is all over USA, and that chances of a bill lifting retro getting passed is less. I do not see any wrongful remarks as well if someone is suggesting for options to take. However, I believe that we nurses are intelligent human beings. We are matured and smart enough to comprehend things. We are no longer innocent children that statements may have to be repeated over and over again.

I plead with all humility, to all those bloggers whose hopes are gone, please spare the ones who are still holding on, for all we know, they might become the richest and most successful nurses in the future.

Let us continue to use this site for more friendly interactions. Let us avoid fuelling this blog with aggressive and non-friendly discussions/debates. And also, please refrain from bombarding posts that has same content.

God Bless

Dear fellow bloggers,

Let us pause , my brothers christians
and muslims , GOD IS SO GOOD.

Let us seek GODS guidance and pray a lot , a honest sincere solem prayer.

during retro , many people argue so much and end for nothing.

at the end of the day still zero.

LET US ALL CHANGE our life seek ye first – our GOD.

Accept the reality no one can change the actual status of NO VISA for NURSE.

ONE and ONLY legal remedy – LEGISLATION.

so for now on let us pray not argue or write any satanic word.

and GOD know what we want and our GOD will provide.

no more scam , no more sweet promises.

no more satanic words.

just PRAY , if you do not know how to pray start going to your HOLY GROUND HOUSE OF PRAYERS.

the HOLY BOOK read and deeply understand , honest , sincere use it on our daily living.

GOD BLESS to all.

nurses are professionals and we must act and speak accordingly.

Thank you so much for sharing to us your good idea of trying other countries for the time being. I am very much sure that a lot of us here are already considering applying somewhere else. However you or anyone else saying NOTHING WILL HAPPEN is indeed a noxious remark. No one can ever lay a conclusive statement with regards to US immigration because it always remains volatile and unpredictable. Things can change in just a glimpse and we have seen this happening in the past. Though things may not be the way we expect it to be, at least let us not focus more on telling everyone that nothing will happen, that hopes are gone, that we must close our road to USA for all at once. This are not friendly statements.

And also, note that bloggers who keep on saying those non-nourishing remarks are same old bloggers who keep on coming back and monitors the blog site, then repeatedly posting again and again same old messages. I wonder why they keep on doing so. If truly they’ve given up their US dream, then right by the moment they should have stop visiting the site any longer except if they too, still clings to their American dream somehow.

If anyone is suggesting us to re-direct our plans, or at least to have a plan B, please share to us your plans as well. When sharing, I suggest that you focus your post more on the SPECIFICS of the plans you are having, rather than making remarks that would only annoy every reader in here.

Let us all calm down and be professional.

Talk of Immigration

Reform Heats Up

April 01 – With the recession continuing to dominate the news, immigration advocates have been wondering if there is the political will and energy to also take on comprehensive reform in the near future.

Of course only time will tell but there are some encouraging signs.

It is expected that legislation calling for comprehensive immigration reform could be introduced to coincide with a planned White House Summit Meeting on immigration in May.

It is also anticipated that legislation identical to H.R. 5924 of 2008 will be introduced soon. H.R. 5924 probably had the greatest support of any potentially retrogression ending legislation introduced in 2008. The reintroduction of this legislation is also expected to have wide spread support among elected officials in Washington.

Earlier this year separate legislation was introduced to create a new non-immigrant visa category specifically for nurses. Referred to as the ‘W’ visa this proposal remains pending.

Last week, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus met with President Obama and left hopeful that he would tackle immigration reform this year.

That is what I am trying to point out Shashi, you are not a nurse and not even related to the field. Of course you know the very fact that E-crisis and US visa retrogression is ongoing like almost everyone else knows. But to tell everyone in here that NOTHING WILL HAPPEN with all certainty is not a very good point to raise. Even our immigration lawyers, and US lawmakers can’t predict with all sureness the future that lies ahead with the US immigration system, and that’s to count in the future of foreign nurses wanting to live and work in USA.

Like others, I really appreciate your good intention of encouraging others to look for better nursing opportunities apart from USA for the time being. As what I have said, I am sure that a lot of us are now moving forward towards that plan. No doubt about it.

And also, yes I share my concern with all those nurses who invested much money for the US program. I too had invested too much, not only money, but for time and effort as well. So it’s everyone’s concern. Let’s just deal with it by moving forward and finding ways to make our life productive rather than holding back and focusing more on the thought of NOTHING WILL HAPPEN with US visa retrogression for nurses.

I hope I made my stand bold and clear.

God Bless

According to applicants who had an approved I-140 and basically waiting for packet 4 are considering to lobby on boycotting the NCLEX RN and CGFNS testing centers overseas, because of the nature of EB -3 application for immigrating to work in US.

IF USA IS NOT PLANNING TO ” IMPORT “ NURSES, THEY SHOULD DO THE FOLLOWING :

1. CLOSE ALL NCLEX / CGFNS CENTRES WORLD WIDE

2. STOP OFFERING NCLEX / CGFNS TO FOREIGN NURSES

3. STOP ACCEPTING IMMIGRATION APPLICATION FEE THRU USCIS

4.ARRANGE TO REIMBURSE THE FEE ALREADY COLLECTED FOR CGFNS/NCLEX, VISA SCREEN & IMMIGRATION APPLICATION OR ARRANGE VISA FOR THE NURSES WHO ALREADY PAID ALL THESE

5. STOP ACCEPTING ALL THE ABOVE FROM NEW APPLICANTS
These are one of the suggestions of desperate people waiting in line for 4 years to wait for their packet 4. It is really high time to campaign for a series of steps that will likely awake the dreamers and the sleepers.

If that is the case they should stop serving NCLEX, CGFNS, to third world countries.
